Broncos sign former Lions WR Josh Reynolds

The Denver Broncos strengthened their passing game after inking veteran wide receiver Josh Reynolds to a two-year deal.

Reynolds’ contract is reportedly worth up to $14 million. He’s coming off a solid 2023 season, where he recorded 40 catches for 608 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

The 29-year-old adds much-needed depth at wide receiver for the Broncos after trading Jerry Jeudy to the Cleveland Browns. Reynolds holds the opportunity to snag a significant role alongside Courtland Sutton, Marvin Mins Jr., and Tim Patrick.

His departure from the Lions leaves a notable void as he formed a strong connection with Jared Goff, who he also played alongside with the Los Angeles Rams.

In seven seasons, he has 220 catches for 2,933 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns while averaging 13.3 yards per reception in 107 regular-season games.

The Broncos are heading through an offseason with a new game plan, following the departure of former Pro Bowler Russell Wilson after just two seasons.

Denver currently possesses the 12th overall, which could see them move up to snag a quarterback, such as Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy, who is drawing significant interest around the league.

The Broncos have struggled to make any headway since winning the Super Bowl in 2015, holding an eight-year playoff drought. Denver has failed to record a single season with a .500 or better record during that span.

The organization is hoping to turn it around under head coach Sean Payton with a young promising quarterback that the franchise can move forward with as a cornerstone piece.
