Browns rumored to be ‘in the mix’ for WR Terrelle Pryor

The Cleveland Browns are making some moves this NFL offseason. The team that failed to win even one game during the 2017 campaign is trying to right the ship immediately as they have been aggressive in NFL free agency and are expected to bring in some key building blocks in the upcoming 2018 NFL Draft.

According to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, the Browns are said to be in the running to land another critical piece in free agency with a familiar face. Wide receiver Terrelle Pryor is said to be a player that could consider signing with Cleveland.

The Browns are still in the mix for receiver Terrelle Pryor even though he’s visiting other teams, a source told cleveland.com.

Pryor, like a lot of big-name free agents this year, is looking to cash in this year. Although, he’s coming off a disappointing stint with the Washington Redskins. If Cleveland is willing to meet his number, the Browns will have a dog in the fight.

The Browns have an idea the money Pryor is seeking. They’re letting him make some visits and set his market price before deciding whether or not to sign him. As of right now, he has no visit scheduled here, but Hue Jackson knows him well.

In the event the Browns land Pryor, the team will have a dynamic wide receiver trio for years to come. The team landed Jarvis Landry in a trade with the Miami Dolphins recently. As well as that, it will have Josh Gordon back next season. Adding Pryor into the mix is a step beyond that. He will almost certainly make the team’s receiving corps a serious threat to opposing teams in the league.

As for the team’s chances of competing next season, Cleveland is still expected to struggle as Hue Jackson tries to get this team on track in the AFC.
