Bucs Coach Bruce Arians says they’ll ‘play to win’ in Week 17

“We’re going to play to win,” Bruce Arians said.

The message is clear in Tampa Bay. Arians wants his team to finish with an 11-5 record and earn the highest possible seed in the playoffs. The Buccaneers are currently sitting in the fifth overall spot, which a win would secure them that spot and a first-round matchup against the NFC East division winner.

Many believe that will be the easiest matchup for any potential playoff team, given how porous the division has been this year. Meanwhile, the season finale is a chance for the Buccaneers to get one last tune-up before the playoffs.

Tampa Bay looks to be back on track since losing three of four games from Weeks 9 to Week 12. They have serious Super Bowl hopes, and any chance to keep that momentum moving forward could be valuable.

Brady has excelled in his first campaign with the franchise guiding them to tremendous success and snapping a long playoff drought. The 43-year-old is wrapping a historic year as he’s currently fourth in the league with 36 touchdown passes and fifth with 4,234 passing yards.

The team’s Super Bowl hopes could hinge on Brady’s play in the stacked NFC playoff picture.
