Tom Brady ignores advice from NFLPA on group workouts

Over the last few months, there has remained significant concern over the coronavirus. That has led to the entire sports world having to shut down to prevent the spread of the virus. Things have improved over that span of the shutdown, but there has been a notable uptick in cases in Florida. Despite that, Tom Brady has continued to lead workouts with his teammates this week. Even though the NFLPA has advised players to stop group workouts before training camp.

According to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, Brady led at least a dozen players through a workout at a private school in Tampa Tuesday morning.

Those actions being taken during this time do raise some questions as it puts all the players at risk during the workout. There have already been two Buccaneers players to test positive for the virus. It’s a considerable risk that Brady and the teammates that he is holding these sessions lately.

The NFL hasn’t stepped in to stop the matter, but if the number of coronavirus cases continues to rise in Florida, it could cause some league action. The last thing that they want is more players to catch the virus, especially one of the faces of the NFL.

It’s a situation that they will continue to monitor as it will give them a strong sense of how many precautions should be taken. In the meantime, Tom Brady may continue to operate in the same manner.
