Bucs’ Rob Gronkowski ‘will be back’ playing football in 2021

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are champions of the football world once again after Tom Brady shocked everyone by leaving his beloved New England Patriots to lead this franchise to new heights in just one season.

With the Bucs now on top of the world as Super Bowl champions, the attention turns to next season and whether they can keep their championship squad intact. One question has been whether Brady’s close friend and longtime teammate, Rob Gronkowski, would be back for another go-around. It seems as though he’s got no intention of walking away from the game right now, via TMZ Sports.

“I’m back, man!” Gronk says … “I will be back playing football, man. I love the game of football. I loved playing last year. I had a great time.”

After a few years away from the game, Gronkowski rejuvenated his NFL career without a hitch. The veteran tight end might not be the dominant force of old like he was for the Patriots alongside Brady, but he definitely did some damage this past season along with a two-touchdown performance in the Super Bowl.

It’ll be interesting to see how things pan out for the Bucs during this NFL offseason as it will be no easy task to keep this team together with a number of free agents and players that might be looking to cash in during free agency.

In 16 regular-season games, Gronkowski caught 45 passes for 623 yards and seven touchdowns.
