Ezekiel Elliott is drawing interest from three prominent NFL teams

Weeks after being released from the Dallas Cowboys, former Pro Bowl running back Ezekiel Elliott is nearing a decision on his next NFL stop.

Ezekiel Elliott has reportedly narrowed down his choice between the New York Jets, Cincinnati Bengals, and Philadelphia Eagles. He is expected to make his decision by the end of next week.

The only clue that Elliott has provided on the situation is a tweet where he stated “I want my #15 back,” which is a reference to the number he played with at Ohio State.

In his first seven seasons with the Cowboys, he donned No. 21, which means his next landing spot he will go back to his old number. His decision could likely come down to the amount of playing time he may receive.

The Eagles could present him the chance to start, especially after Miles Sanders’ departure in free agency. It would also give him the opportunity to play the Cowboys at least twice a season.

Meanwhile, the interest in playing for the Jets likely lies in the expectation that four-time league MVP Aaron Rodgers will be under center in New York in 2023. He would have to compete alongside Breece Hall for playing as he’s returning after suffering a torn ACL last season.

Elliott’s interest in Cincinnati could see him become a pivotal piece to their offense. He would immediately fill the void left by Samaje Perine’s departure in free agency to the Denver Broncos.

The 27-year-old is weighing plenty of factors that will determine where he spends the next chapter of his NFL career.
