Foster Moreau signs three-year deal with Saints
TE Foster Moreau saw his life take an unexpected turn after being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma during a physical with the Saints.
Despite that, the Saints have worked out a three-year, $12 million deal with Moreau. The contract includes $8 million guaranteed and $3 million in incentives.
Since the diagnosis, Foster Moreau has continued to take steps forward. He’s received treatment and plans to play the 2023 season. He already has the clearance to return to the football field next week.

The Saints are set to begin OTA sessions on May 23, which will give him the chance to showcase what he can do at this point in his recovery. There isn’t any clarity concerning how much he will participate, but it’s certainly a step in the right direction.
During his first four seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders, he recorded 91 receptions for 1,107 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. He will reunite with quarterback Derek Carr, who he has spent each of his first four NFL seasons playing alongside.
Moreau adds much-needed depth while providing a trusted passing game option for Carr. The Saints will monitor the situation, which should have more clarity after he starts the offseason program.
