Giants want two first-round draft picks in trade for Odell Beckham Jr.

After a controversial video surfaced and a demand for a lucrative contract extension before the start of the 2018 NFL season, it seems as though the New York Giants are open to trading superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

Despite the fact Beckham may be the best wideout in the NFL, the Giants are weighing their options. As a result a trade is potentially on the horizon. It appears the New York franchise already has a price tag for what they’d accept in return for the 25-year-old, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The New York Giants have asked for at least two first-round picks in return for Odell Beckham Jr., a league source tells ESPN’s Adam Schefter, even though the team insists it is not shopping the three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver.

With the 2018 NFL Draft under a month away, the Giants could work fast to trade the perennial Pro Bowler. The most likely trade destination as of right now appears to be the Los Angeles Rams. Sean McVay and company have been determined to upgrade their roster this NFL offseason. Most of their work has come on the defensive side of the football.

Although the Rams are already a legitimate title contender with all the moves they’ve made so far, the addition of Beckham could put them over the top. Los Angeles could very well become the favorite to win it all next season if the deal goes through.

As for the Giants, the new regime is putting all their efforts into the upcoming NFL Draft. The team owns the second overall pick after going an ugly 3-13 during the 2017 campaign. New York could have three first-round picks if they get what they want in a potential Beckham trade. This would allow them to drastically upgrade their squad in a number of different areas.
