Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins motivated to prove worth to Bengals
Over the past few years, the Cincinnati Bengals have been one of the most talented teams in the NFL, especially on the offensive side of the football, with superstar quarterback Joe Burrow leading the way.
One of the main reasons for Burrow’s success with the Bengals has been the two-headed monster in the receiving corps. Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins are arguably the best wide receiver duo in the game today, and were just paid like it.

Heading into the 2025 NFL season, Higgins and Chase are determined to prove they are worth the enormous contracts they inked with Cincinnati, via Ben Baby of ESPN.
“I’m pretty sure that’s the big thing Cincinnati wants us to do, too,” Chase told ESPN this week. “And not just Cincinnati, the fans and everyone around. You got to prove ourselves all over again.”
Chase sees himself and Higgins growing together on the Bengals moving forward.
“I think it’s been a good journey,” said Chase, whose comments were part of a marketing tour with General Mills and the company’s Lucky Charms cereal brand. “I know Tee’s been on a different journey than I have, with (the) two different boats we’ve been in. But we just basically added our boats together now, just learning from each other, building with each other.”
With less-than-stellar results over the last couple of seasons, the Bengals will be under a lot of pressure during the 2025 campaign to live up to expectations as a potential Super Bowl title contender in the AFC.
