Joe Burrow’s availability for Week 3 up in the air for Bengals
The 2023 NFL season hasn’t started off on the right foot for the Cincinnati Bengals. The projected title contenders have lost the first two games of their season to divisional opponents. Cincinnati lost to the Cleveland Browns right out of the gate and followed that up with a three-point loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
As if being in a 0-2 hole to start the season wasn’t bad enough, especially with consecutive losses to divisional opponents, superstar quarterback Joe Burrow is banged up once again and has a shaky status for Week 3 against the Los Angeles Rams, according to ESPN.

Burrow’s availability for Cincinnati’s Week 3 game against the Los Angeles Rams for ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” is “hard to say,” coach Zac Taylor said Monday. Taylor said Burrow’s calf was still sore less than 24 hours after the defeat to the Ravens.
Without Burrow, the Bengals simply aren’t the same football team, even though the superstar has struggled in the team’s first two games. This means it’s crucial that he’s under center if this team wants to get back on track this season.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor wants more information from the doctors before making a decision on Burrow’s status moving forward.
“First of all we have to hear what the doctors have to say before we start to assume anything,” Taylor said. “Once we get that information, we have those [conversations], figure out what we’re going to do.”
Obviously, this isn’t great news for the Bengals, who desperately need to get back on the right track before this season gets out of hand and their Super Bowl hopes start to disappear.
