Can Los Angeles Rams repeat in 2022 to become historic team?
Come 2022, the Los Angeles Rams will try to be the first team since the 2003-04 New England Patriots to win consecutive titles.
It’s barely been 24 hours since the Los Angeles Rams won the Super Bowl. Already, the question must be asked: can they repeat?
For the first time since 1951, Los Angeles saw its Rams win a title (they played in St. Louis in 1999) and with the parade through Hollywood planned for Wednesday, there’s only time for celebration this week in the City of Angels.

However, from a larger perspective, it’s fair to start thinking about whether this team can become the first to repeat in nearly 20 years. The last time we saw a team do so was 2004, when Bill Belichick, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots did so.
On Monday, Rams’ COO Kevin Demoff spoke to media and talked about what his team had accomplished. He also spoke on how the road ahead looks, and how he’s hoping for another championship a year from now, per ESPN:
“I’ve seen some charts that show offseason resources and if there’s a bottom of it, we’re like below it, we’re off on the other page. But at the same time, I think we’ll have eight draft picks. We’ll look at the salary cap and what can be done. But the one thing I will say, and this is such a credit to Stan and Sean and Les and the players: This is a place where players want to be. Our own players, other players. And when you see the scenes from last night, this will only make it more desirable to be a Los Angeles Ram. And when you start with that premise, there are a lot of things you can get done to improve your chances to hopefully be back to this press conference next year.”

For the Rams, it won’t be an easy task and it begins in the offseason. They have a slew of high-profile free agents to keep, including edge rusher Von Miller, receiver Odell Beckham Jr., corner Darious Williams and others. Additionally, left tackle Andrew Whitworth might retire while safety Eric Weddle has already said he will.
If Los Angeles is to stay on top of the NFL world, general manager Les Snead better get rolling. While the rest of the city enjoys a parade, Snead and his team will already be hard at work, trying to repeat the feat.
