NFC North Odds and Picks for Week Four of the Preseason

Week four of the NFL preseason is truly a waste of time unless you are a fringe NFL player trying to make a roster. How oddsmakers can put odds on these games is a mystery. There will not be a starter anywhere in sight this week. Most of them probably won’t even put on a uniform, at least not the big stars. Trying to bet on these games is really the same as playing roulette or the lottery. If you win, it’s just plain luck. But there are odds on the games so let’s give you the ones involving the NFC North. Oddsmaker has the odds.

Detroit Lions at Buffalo Bills– This game may actually have a bit of intrigue as the Bills still have a big decision to make. They still might be wavering on their starting quarterback. So Kevin Kolb and E. J. Manuel may be fighting for a starting job here.  The Lions are -4.5 -110 and the Bills +4.5 -110 ATS. Moneyline has the Lions -220 and the Bills +180. Over/Under is 40 with both over and under -110. Since the Bills will be playing two QBs trying to impress for a starting job, we like the Bills +180 and the over -110.

Tennessee Titans at Minnesota Vikings– The Vikings are another team that may not have decided on a starting quarterback. Christian Ponder and McLeod Bethel-Thompson. Ponder looked good a week ago against the San Francisco 49ers going 17 for 23 with two touchdowns. So another good performance this week could mean  the incumbent could save his job. The Titans are -4.5 -110 while the Vikings are +4.5 -110 ATS. Moneyline has the Titans -190 and the Vikings +160. Over/Under is 39 with both -110. We like the Vikings +4.5 -110 and the over-110.

Cleveland Browns at Chicago Bears– There will no starting QBs anywhere near the huddle in this game. So flip a coin. The Browns are -2.5 -110 and the Bears are +2.5 -110 ATS. Moneyline is Browns -130 and Bears +110. Over/Under is 39 with both -110. We like the Bears +2.5 and the under -110.

Green Bay Packers at Kansas City Chiefs– Here is another game we likely won’t see any of the starts playing. The Packers are +4 -110 and the Chiefs are -4 -110. Moneyline is Packers +175 and Kansas City -210. We like the Packers +175 and the under -110.

Check back with us next week for the odds on the first week of the regular season. We will have odds on games with teams trying to win them. That makes it a bit more interesting and also a bit easier.
