NFC North Week Eight Preview
The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears are in quite a race in the NFC North Division so far this season. The Packers won the head to head meeting between the two teams back in the second week of the season but it is the Bears who are in first place with a 5-1 record. They lead the Minnesota Vikings who are 5-3 after losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers already this week 36-17 and the Packers at 4-3.
The Bears will host the Carolina Panthers this week. Carolina is free-falling at 1-5. Oddsmaker has the Panthers at +7.5 -110 or +320. The Bears are -7.5 -110 or -400. Over/under on the game is 42.5. The Bears are looking more and more like a Super Bowl contender. We like the Bears -7.5 and the under.
The Seattle Seahawks face the Detroit Lions, who are in last place in the NFC North at 2-4. The Seahawks are +1 +105 or +110. The Lions are -1 -125 or -130. Over/under is 42.5. Russell Wilson has had the Seahawks in every game so far for the 4-3 Seahawks. They have had extra time off for the game too since they played on Thursday a week ago. We like the Seahawks +110.
The Jacksonville Jaguars will go on the road to face the Packers. Jacksonville is probably the biggest underdog we’ve seen in the NFL this season at +14.5 -110 or +750. The Packers are -14.5 -110 or -1100. Over/under on this one is 45.5. The Jaguars are sorry. But 14.5 is a lot of points. Also, the Jags tend to play a bit better on the road. We like the Jags +14.5.
