NFC North Week Seven Picks

After six week in the NFC North, the Chicago Bears lead the standings with a 4-1 record. The Minnesota Vikings follow with a 4-2 mark. the Green Bay Packers are third at 3-3 and the Detroit Lions are last at 2-3. All four teams are still in good position to make a playoff run. Nobody is in panic mode. Here are this week’s games in the NFC North:

Intertops has odds on the Arizona Cardinals at Minnesota. The Cardinals are +7 1.87 or 3.50. the Vikings are -7 1.95 0r 1.33. Over/under on the game is 40.5. The Cardinals have lost two in a row, including an embarrassing loss at home to the Buffalo Bills. The Vikings are coming off a loss to the Washington Redskins. Seven points is a lot in the NFL. We like the Cardinals +7.

Green Bay Packers at St. Louis Rams– The Rams have been in every game this season. Their defense has been one of the NFL‘s best all year.  They are +5 1.91 or 2.85. The Packers are -5 1.91 or 1.44. Green Bay hammered the previously unbeaten Houston Texans 42-24 a week ago. They are still among the league’s best teams when they get it together. Can the Rams defense slow down Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense? That’s a good question. It depends on which Packers show up today. We like the Rams +5.

Detroit at Chicago- Monday Night Football has the Lions visiting the Bears. This is a big game for Detroit. With a win they draw to within one game in the loss column of every team in the division. A loss sets them three games back of the Bears. The Lions are +6 1.95 or 3.30. The Bears are -6 1.87 or 1.37. The Bears have just been red hot since losing to Green Bay in week two. They have been looking like a Super Bowl type team ever since. We like the Bears -6.
