NFL power rankings, Week 14: Bengals make move
The Cincinnati Bengals are moving up in the AFC version of our NFL power rankings, beating the Kansas City Chiefs once again.
16. Houston Texans (LW: 16)
The Texans are going back to Davis Mills under center, but does it really matter? Houston isn’t winning regardless.
15. Denver Broncos (LW: 15)
Denver can’t score. The question this week is whether the Chiefs come out flying after a loss in Cincinnati, or is Kansas City flat afterwards?
14. Indianapolis Colts (LW: 14)
The Colts gave up more than 30 points in the fourth quarter against Dallas on Sunday. That pretty much says it all.
13. Jacksonville Jaguars (LW: 11)
Jacksonville has made progress since last year, but the Jaguars are still far, far away from rising in the NFL power rankings.

12. Pittsburgh Steelers (LW: 13)
The Steelers are 5-7 and getting a backup quarterback in Tyler Huntley when the Baltimore Ravens come to Pittsburgh this Sunday. Big opportunity.
11. Cleveland Browns (LW: 10)
Cleveland was able to beat the Texans in Houston for Deshaun Watson’s return, but the defense/special teams needed to score three touchdowns for the victory.
10. Las Vegas Raiders (LW: 12)
Are the Raiders making a late playoff push? They’ve won three straight games and now get the Rams in what should be a friendly SoFi Stadium.
9. New England Patriots (LW: 9)
It’s time for the Patriots to make their move towards the postseason, or start preparing for the draft. First up, the Cardinals on Monday night.
8. Los Angeles Chargers (LW: 8)
How many times are the Chargers going to give up a ton of rushing yardage, underwhelm on offense and lose to a lesser team?
7. New York Jets (LW: 7)
The Jets took Minnesota to the limit, but couldn’t get into the end zone at the end, losing to the Vikings.
6. Tennessee Titans (LW: 6)
Tennessee got hammered by the Eagles up in Philadelphia. Now, the Titans need to recalibrate and handle business at home against the Titans.

5. Baltimore Ravens (LW: 5)
It’s time for the Ravens to rally around Tyler Huntley. They need him to make some plays while Lamar Jackson recovers.
4. Miami Dolphins (LW: 2)
Tua Tagovailoa struggled to handle the 49ers defense, missing some easy throws. Can he rebound against a much lesser unit facing the Chargers?
3. Cincinnati Bengals (LW: 4)
Cincinnati has to move up into the top three, and has a case for being right at the top. The Bengals absolutely own the Chiefs.
2. Buffalo Bills (LW: 3)
Buffalo also slots up, now holding the AFC’s top seed. However, the loss of Von Miller is enormous.
1. Kansas City Chiefs (LW: 1)
The Chiefs lost but retain the top spot. Why? Because Kansas City, Buffalo and Cincinnati are interchangeable, and the Chiefs have the highest ceiling when they hit their top gear.
