NFL Week 11 schedule: 5 QBs primed for huge games

The NFL Week 11 schedule looks to have some shootouts on the docket, and these five quarterbacks are going to go off.

5. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals

Burrow is coming off a bye week, giving hi two weeks to prepare for the Las Vegas Raiders. Yes, the same Raiders who just gave up 406 passing yards and five touchdown tosses to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs last weekend in a 41-14 humiliation. For Burrow, he has the luxury of great weapons in receivers Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd. Look for the Bengals to score plenty, while Burrow darkens the sky with footballs.

4. Justin Fields, Chicago Bears

Fields might be an odd choice at first glance. He has more interceptions than touchdown passes on the year and the Bears aren’t exactly flush with top-end talent around him. However, he draws the Baltimore Ravens, who come into Chicago with the worst pass defense by yards allowed per game in the league. Baltimore should also be concerned after watching Fields against the Pittsburgh Steelers two weeks ago, when he lit up one of the NFL’s best units. This could be another coming-out party.

3. Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers

Newton is settling back in with his old team, and he gets to face his old coach in Ron Rivera. The Washington Football Team is coming to Charlotte this Sunday, and Newton is getting a defense that hasn’t fared well most weeks against the pass. He also has a pair of quality receivers in D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson, both of whom match up against the Football Team nicely. Of course, Newton is also likely to add some yards with his legs also.

2. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs

After a month of scuffling, Mahomes came out of his funk in a major way. As said above, Mahomes went for 406. yards and five touchdowns in a breakout performance against the Raiders, and now his Chiefs welcome in the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas is 7-2 and one of the league’s best, but in what should be a shootout, the Cowboys’ defense can be had, specifically the secondary beyond Trevon Diggs.

1. Tom Brady, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Brady has been bad his past two games, both defeats. Now, after playing well-below standard for almost a month (there was a bye week between losses), Brady gets to host the New York Giants on Monday night. Even with receiver Antonio Brown still out, the Bucs have ample weapons for their future Hall of Famer to pick apart New York with.
