NFL Week 17: 5 underdogs to bet on Sunday

5. Cincinnati Bengals (+14.5) at Pittsburgh Steelers

The Bengals aren’t playing. or anything, and Jeff Driskel doesn’t exactly inspire loads on confidence. Cincinnati, though, would love nothing more than to finish off the Steelers for good, putting Mike Tomlin on the hottest of seats. In the end, look for Pittsburgh to win the game and maybe even pull away late, but 14.5 points is far too much for a team that has already lost to the Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders in recent weeks.

4. Oakland Raiders (+13.5) at Kansas City Chiefs

Again, another overmatched division rival on the road. Still, the Raiders and Chiefs are both 3-3 in their last six games. Kansas City isn’t playing a good brand of football, and Oakland is going to try to finish its season on a high note while ruining the Chiefs’ January fans. Ultimately, Kansas City should handle business and win the game, but the Raiders aren’t going to make it easy in front of a very anxious crowd at Arrowhead Stadium.

3. Chicago Bears (+5) at Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings are trying to punch their ticket to the playoffs. Unless you believe the Philadelphia Eagles are going to lose to Josh Johnson and the Washington Redskins, they need to take down Chicago to get into the postseason. All that said, Minnesota has been very hard to pin down all year-end Bears head coach Matt Nagy has been adamant he’ll play his starters until the second seed is completely out of reach. This isn’t going to be an easy game for the Vikings.

2. San Francisco 49ers (+10) at Los Angeles Rams

This is playing a little bit of a hunch. The 49ers have been doing a nice job of playing spoiler throughout December, beating the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks while they were in the heat of a playoff race. Additionally, the Rams might be playing for absolutely nothing if Chicago loses to Minnesota earlier in the day. San Francisco isn’t going to win this game if Los Angeles is going full bore, but don’t be shocked if the contest remains close throughout.

1. Cleveland Browns (+6) at Baltimore Ravens

This might end up being the most compelling game of the day. Cleveland is trying to have a winning season, coming into the tilt at 7-7-1. Meanwhile, the Ravens are hoping to earn a playoff spot and AFC North title by splitting the season series against the Browns. With this game in Baltimore, the Ravens have the decided advantage, but this isn’t going to be easy for the home team.
