NFL Week 5 odds: Important injuries for each game

Teams won’t have it all their own way in NFL Week 5. We take a look at the injury situations at play in the NFL Week 5 slate.

Arizona Cardinals at Cincinnati Bengals (-3)

The Bengals are without wide receivers John Ross and A.J. Green. The Cardinals are relatively healthy, but are missing corner Patrick Peterson due to suspension.

Atlanta Falcons at Houston Texans (-4)

The Falcons are missing both rookie offensive linemen in Kaleb McGary and Chris Lindstrom. Atlanta is also without safety Keanu Neal due to a torn Achilles.

Baltimore Ravens (-3.5) at Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh is most-notably without quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for the season. Baltimore is still waiting on cornerback Jimmy Smith to return from a knee injury.

Buffalo Bills at Tennessee Titans (-3)

Bills quarterback Josh Allen remains in concussion protocol.

Chicago Bears (-5) at Oakland Raiders

The Bears are going with Chase Daniel at quarterback as starter Mitch Trubisky recovers from a shoulder injury. Oakland is without rookie safety Johnathan Abram for the rest of the year with a torn labrum.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Carolina Panthers (-3.5)

Both starting quarterbacks are sidelined, with Cam Newton suffering from a bad foot while Nick Foles is recovering from a broken clavicle.

Minnesota Vikings (-5) at New York Giants

The Giants are down running back Saquon Barkley as he works back from a high ankle sprain.

New York Jets at Philadelphia Eagles (-14.5)

Sam Darnold is still dealing with mono. The Eagles are down a pair of cornerbacks in Avonte Maddox (neck) and Ronald Darby (hamstring). Wide receiver DeSean Jackson (abdomen) is also out.

New England Patriots (-15) at Washington Redskins

The Patriots have kicker Stephen Gostkowski, fullback James Develin, receiver N’Keal Harry, left tackle Isaiah Wynn and center David Andrews all on Injured Reserve. The Redskins are without tight end Jordan Reed who remains in concussion protocol.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints (-3)

New Orleans is missing All-Pro quarterback Drew Brees for the next month as he recovers from a torn thumb ligament.

Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers (-6)

The Chargers are dealing with a bevy of injuries including Hunter Henry (knee), Derwin James (foot), Melvin Ingram (hamstring), Russell Okung (pulmonary embolism) and others. Denver is playing without slot corner Bryce Callahan and outside linebacker Bradley Chubb (torn ACL).

Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys (-3)

Dallas won’t have left tackle Tyron Smith (ankle), while the Packers have to soldier on without star receiver Davonte Adams due to a bad toe.

Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs (-11)

The Colts have already ruled out receivers Devin Funchess (clavicle) and Parris Campbell (abdomen), linebacker Darius Leonard (concussion) and safeties Malik Hooker (knee) and Clayton Geathers (concussion). The Chiefs are without receiver Tyreek Hill (clavicle joint), tackle Eric Fisher (hernia) and potentially receiver Sammy Watkins, who is questionable with shoulder and hamstring maladies.

Cleveland Browns at San Francisco 49ers (-4)

The Browns are down tight end David Njoku and linebacker Christian Kirksey. Both cornerbacks Greedy Williams and Denzel Ward are still not practicing with hamstring problems.
