Odell Beckham Jr. makes it clear he’s with Browns for long haul

It has been nothing short of a disappointing campaign for the Cleveland Browns. They’ve fallen well below all the hype that was built around them. Their struggles have created internal issues including star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. voicing his uncertainty about his future.

Beckham Jr. has since backtracked, but that has led to additional rumors flaring up concerning his desire to play elsewhere. The star wideout attempted to put all of that to bed on Wednesday by voicing that he’s there for the long haul, according to Jake Trotter of ESPN.

“Yeah, we’re going to be here,” Beckham said when asked about returning in 2020 specifically. “We’re going to do it again, and we’re going to be what we felt like we should’ve been and correct all the little mistakes and all the if-we-would’ve-did-this games. It’s just too good.”

Beckham jr. has voiced his long-term commitment to the Browns. He also mentioned that he bought a house in Cleveland. However, it’s hard to put the rumors to bed. Several credible reporters put their names to the story that all stated that he has been telling opposing teams that he wants out and to get him.

Beckham Jr. could easily be saying one thing to the media and another thing behind closed doors. At the same time, he has attacked the chatter head-on and on time will prove if his words are reality or something else once the offseason comes around the next several weeks.
