Terrell Suggs talks about landing with the Chiefs
One of the biggest headlines over the last few days was the Arizona Cardinals’ decision to part ways with star outside linebacker Terrell Suggs. His availability on the open market on waivers drew more traction. Some reports even suggested that he was aiming towards reuniting with the Baltimore Ravens.

However, the Kansas City Chiefs decided to make the waiver claim to add him to the mix. In light of all that, Suggs voiced that it was an easy decision for him to accept joining the Chiefs in spite of his preference to head back to Baltimore, according to Adam Teicher of ESPN.
“I was really uncertain about my future last week, but I talked to Coach and it was a brief conversation and I was like, ‘OK,”’ Suggs said Wednesday as he joined the Chiefs for his first practice session. “I asked Coach, ‘I just learned the hard way that a player like me just [doesn’t] fit in anywhere.’ He was like, ‘Trust me, you’ll fit in here.’
“It’s hard to turn down [playing with] the reigning MVP [Patrick Mahomes] and a playoff team and just the exciting things they’re doing, this atmosphere.”

The Chiefs may not be in the position to earn a first-round playoff bye at the momentum. However they are certainly a team that can compete for the Super Bowl. They have the reigning league MVP leading the offensive, which should provide them an edge in the playoffs. Especially with him having previous experience on that stage.
The addition of Suggs gives them an added edge with their passing rushing. As well as that, he’s a proven asset along their defensive front. The move only adds to their push up towards making a run towards the Super Bowl.
