Packers QB Aaron Rodgers admits his NFL future is out of his control
The Green Bay Packers shocked the NFL by drafting quarterback Jordan Love in the 2020 NFL Draft. As a result, the future of Aaron Rodgers in a Packers uniform was put in doubt. It lead to a situation that could rival Brett Favre’s exit from the team.
Rodgers responded to the addition of Love by going on to win his third NFL MVP award. He also led the Packers all the way to the NFC Championship Game. Despite falling to the eventual Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Rodgers proved that he is still an elite quarterback. There’s no doubt he has a lot of football left in him. Although, he still isn’t sure what the future holds as he admitted to Pat McAfee.

With Rodgers still proving to be a championship-caliber quarterback, it remains to be seen what the Packers intend to do with their face of the franchise. The one-time Super Bowl champion may eventually tire of all the speculation surrounding his future and ultimately force the team to make a move, especially with all the movement around the league involving starting quarterbacks like Matthew Stafford, Carson Wentz, Sam Darnold, Mitchell Trubisky and Jared Goff.

As of right now, Rodgers remains the leader under center for the Packers and that may not be changing anytime soon. However, anything can change in professional at a moment’s notice and Rodgers will have no shortage of suitors if he or the team is intent on moving on sooner rather than later.
