Packers QB Aaron Rodgers believes he can still play at an MVP level

The Green Bay Packers entering another offseason blanketed with questions concerning star quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ future.

Rodgers stirred the pot earlier this week during his weekly interview on The Pat McAfee Show, voicing that there are plenty of factors that come into play regarding his status for the 2023 season. “I think I can win MVP again in the right situation,” Rodgers said via ESPN. “Right situation, is that Green Bay or is that somewhere else? I’m not sure. But I don’t think you should shut down any opportunity. Like I said during the season, that’s got to be both sides actually wanting to work together moving forward, and I think there’s more conversations to be had.”

Although Rodgers has $59 million coming his way for the 2023 campaign. He has stated that he would walk away from that if there is no desire to continue to play.

He has voiced that he could consider playing for another franchise if the Packers are looking to move on to Jordan Love being the future under center. However, Rodgers is set to have a $99.7 million cap hit for next season, which would make it nearly impossible for the team to move him.
