Patriots QB Tom Brady says Packers star Aaron Rodgers inspires him

The New England Patriots are set for another primetime matchup on Sunday night with a matchup against the Green Bay Packers.

This will pit head-to-head arguably the two best quarterbacks in the league with Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers that will mark just the second time that both have played each other in their respective illustrious careers. Ahead of the matchup, Brady spoke glowingly of Rodgers stating that he inspires him to go out there and continue to play and improve on his craft, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN.

“I think it’s inspiring,” Brady said Tuesday during his weekly interview on sports radio WEEI. “Even for me, I watch his game and it makes me want to get out there and practice and improve, because I think he’s so phenomenal with how he manages himself in the pocket. His ability to throw the football is unlike anyone in probably the history of the league. It’s pretty awesome to watch.”

Brady has put together an impressive career that he doesn’t appear to be winding down by any means with no notable decline in his performance on the field. Rodgers’s presence in the league has only pushed him harder to stay competing at the highest level even into his 40s.

On the other hand, the Packers’ star quarterback has continually praised Brady as being someone he has studied intensely while wanting to be able to play into his 40s as he has up to this point in his career. There is a strong mutual respect between the two that has become quite evident.

All of this sets the table for what could be an entertaining matchup on Sunday night that may see another memorable contest between the two future Hall of Famers.
