Patriots sign veteran wide receiver DeVante Parker to three-year deal.

The New England Patriots are hoping to push their back into the playoffs.

A significant part of the offensive puzzle will be veteran wide receiver DeVante Parker. The Patriots inked the 30-year-old to a three-year deal through 2025.

Parker was previously in the final year of his contract, but the new deal could see him earn up to $33 million if he reaches all the game roster bonuses along with the playing time requirements and performance marks highlighted by All-Pro honors.

The bar is set high for Parker. However, there is an opportunity for him to secure a lucrative payday over the next three seasons. He’s coming off his first campaign with New England, where he recorded 31 receptions on 47 targets for 539 receiving yards and three touchdowns in 13 games played.

Throughout his career, he’s struggled with nagging injuries, playing one full season in his first eight years as a result. When healthy, he’s proven to be a game-changing talent behind his big-play ability.

Parker has broken 1,000 receiving yards once in his career while totaling four or more receiving touchdowns three times. The Patriots are hoping that he and quarterback Mac Jones could sustain a stronger connection to anchor the passing game.

Meanwhile, New England has brought aboard former Pro Bowl wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster through free agency to beef up its offensive arsenal.

The Patriots will have the tough task of navigating through one of the league’s toughest divisions that could see three teams reach the playoffs. The question becomes whether New England has enough to push their way toward the playoffs.
