The New Orleans Saints quarterback and the NFL’s career passing leader will return for a 20th season after posting to Instagram on Tuesday that he will “make another run at it.”
It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that Brees has decided to play for another season. He’s still playing at a high level that saw him put forth another highly productive campaign. He was one of the driving forces that pushed the Saints to another NFC South division title and a playoff berth.

Their season ended disappointingly in the postseason, but New Orleans has the roster in place to make another run at a Super Bowl. Much of that will hinge on how well Brees plays in his 20th season, but it’s fair to predict that he will continue to play at an elite level.
It will be interesting to see what type of contract he signs with the Saints this time around. Brees could be in the approach of taking it year by year at this point in his career, which may see him ink a one-year contract. Nonetheless, the Saints will have their star quarterback in the fold for another campaign.
