Saints rumored to be interested in bringing back Jimmy Graham

tiThe New Orleans Saints may be a piece or two away from being a legitimate NFC title contender. The team came one freak play by the Minnesota Vikings from making it to the NFC Championship Game. They will be looking to add more weapons during the NFL offseason.

One of those weapons might be tight end, Jimmy Graham. The Seattle Seahawks are reportedly ready to part ways with the veteran, according to NFL.com.

Months after dangling Graham’s name in trade talks at the midseason deadline, the Seahawks are expected to part with their Pro Bowl tight end in free agency, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

The Saints might be there ready to bring him back for a second stint. New Orleans is said to be one of the interested teams in Graham’s services once he hits the open market.

New Orleans is among the teams interested in pursuing Graham once he reaches the open market, sources informed of the situation have told Pelissero.

Once Graham left New Orleans in a trade to Seattle, the one-time All-Pro tight end never returned to form. The Seahawks simply didn’t use him the same way Drew Brees and the Saints were able to, therefore, he kind of fell off the map in terms of being a real threat in the passing game.

NFC

Fortunately for Graham, a return to New Orleans might be precisely what’s needed in order to get back to form. It remains to be seen whether the two sides can come to an agreement on a deal. It could be a wise decision, especially with New Orleans in potential contention in the NFC.

With the addition of Graham to an already potent passing game led by Brees, the Saints could become a serious threat to come out of the NFC. New Orleans may be a popular pick to reach the Super Bowl.
