Saints star Alvin Kamara says Drew Brees will ‘take his time’ to decide his NFL future
The New Orleans Saints and fans of the storied NFL franchise continue to wait for superstar quarterback Drew Brees to decide whether he’ll retire or play another season. That decision has taken longer than expected, even though many anticipate him to call it a career.
Superstar teammate Alvin Kamara has been asked constantly about what Brees’ intentions are moving forward. Kamara, who ended the 2020 campaign on a strong note, doesn’t have that answer, but he claims that the veteran will take his time to make his decision on his future.

“As far as his career goes and retiring or playing still, a lot of people ask me that and I just say, ‘Drew’s going to take his time and make the best decision for him.’ He’s a legend,†Kamara said, via John Hendrix of SI.com. “He’s definitely going to go down as one of the greatest.â€
Although Drew Brees may feel he has another season of football left in him, he struggled to reclaim his top form in 2020. The veteran gunslinger looked a lot like Peyton Manning in his last season with the Denver Broncos as he couldn’t throw far down the field and struggled to do things that used to come easy to him.
