Titans WR Julio Jones feels ‘great’ as he approaches return

Over the last two weeks, the Tennessee Titans have played without star wide receiver Julio Jones.

The All-Pro wideout missed the previous two games due to a nagging hamstring issue. Jones voiced this week that the team kept him off the field due to precautionary reasons, describing his hamstring as “tight.”

“I feel great. I did everything I needed to do,” Jones said via Ben Arthur of The Tennessean. “Just keeping a clear head, staying positive and let everything else take care of itself. I’m out here practicing. I’m out here flying around. I feel good.”

Jones’s injury is in a sensitive area as it could linger on if not handled properly. The Titans want to avoid any setbacks that keep him off the field for a longer stretch.

Tennessee is monitoring the situation but appears ready to play on Monday night against the red-hot Buffalo Bills. The Titans will need Jones back in the mix as they face arguably the league’s best defense in Week 6.

The Bills are leading the league by giving only 12.8 points per contest and ranking first in total yards allowed. That lone presents a difficult challenge that will need more than Derrick Henry’s presence in the running game.

The Titans need balance in the passing game, and Jones brings forth another proven option. He hasn’t been a major factor this year due to injuries, but he’s more than capable of impacting the game greatly.

His role has fluctuated this season, but expect him to have his fair share of targets on Monday night.
