Tom Brady refutes reports of rift with Patriots OC Josh McDaniels

Since star quarterback Tom Brady decided to part ways with the New England Patriots after two decades, there has been much speculation as to what led to the departure.

That has led to chatter being spread that there “deteriorating” relationship between Brady and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels played a factor. It didn’t take long for Brady to come out strongly against the rumors via Instagram. (H/T Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk)

The new Buccaneers quarterback wrote his response on Instagram on Monday night, writing “Please stop this nonsense!” and “Please be more responsible with reporting.”

Brady tagged McDaniels in his Instagram response with a heart emoji and added, “19 years together and brothers for life.”

There is a healthy level of respect from Brady to McDaniels over their time together with the Patriots. The two had worked closely with each other for the bulk of the star quarterback’s career. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Brady has come out to shut down that chatter as it dismisses it entirely.

There were other factors at play that may have stemmed mainly from his relationship with head coach Bill Belichick. It’s no secret that the two didn’t have the closest of bonds. This may have led Brady to feel underappreciated and a lack of commitment long-term.

It’s a situation that many other things that led Brady down the route of continuing the next chapter of his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Only time will tell what truly transpired in New England.
