Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison arrested in Los Angeles
Minnesota Vikings second-year wide receiver Jordan Addison was arrested Friday in Los Angeles due to suspicion of driving under the influence.
Addison reportedly was found asleep behind the wheel after being found blocking a lane of the I-105 westbound near the Los Angeles International Airport.
“We are aware of Jordan Addison’s arrest this past Friday and are currently gathering more information regarding the incident,” the Vikings said in a statement via ESPN.
It marks the second driving-related issue for Addison since entering the NFL last season. The previous incident involved him being cited for driving 140 miles per hour on a freeway in Minnesota.

He agreed to plead guilty to a misdemeanor speeding charge and a reckless driving charge being dismissed.
Addison’s off-the-field issues hinder his performance on the field. He’s coming off a productive rookie campaign that featured him recording 70 catches for 911 receiving yards. He also tied for fourth in the league with 10 touchdowns, including a pair of 100-yard receiving performances.
The USC product proved to be a viable passing game option next to star wideout Justin Jefferson. The Vikings hope he can be an important building block they can build with moving forward.

However, the continued off-the-field issues raise some concerns. He could face punishment from the NFL that may see him miss some time, especially since it marks the second incident.
Minnesota selected the 22-year-old with the 23rd overall pick in last year’s draft, and he’s set to enter the second year of his four-year, $13.7 million rookie deal.
