Nick Foles voids option after Eagles announce intentions to pick it up
After being told by the Philadelphia Eagles that his 2019 option was going to be picked up, quarterback Nick Foles is, as expected, voiding it.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news on Tuesday night.

In order to void the deal, Nick Foles had to give back $2 million of his 2018 signing bonus. However, he isn’t a free agent just yet.

The Eagles are still expected to place the $25 million franchise tag on Foles, which will allow them to trade him — likely for a draft pick.
Like in 2017, Foles replaced an injured Carson Wentz late in the season and helped guide Philadelphia to the playoffs. Only, this season ended in the Divisional Round.
During the 2018 season, Foles completed 72.3 percent of his passes for 1,413 yards with seven touchdowns, four interceptions and a 96.0 passer rating in seven games for the Eagles.
