Oakland Raiders Want a First Round Pick for Amari Cooper
Rumors surrounding a trade for Oakland Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper have picked up pace this week. Despite not speaking publicly about a trade, the team is reportedly seeking a first round pick for Amari Cooper.
The news comes from NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. From Rapoport:
“The Raiders have had some conversations about potentially trading him.
“My understanding is that they have asked for a first-round pick in exchange for Amari Cooper, which seems incredibly significant. And it might make it difficult if not impossible to trade him.”
If the Oakland Raiders are to get their wish, they will have to get it done before the October 30 trade deadline.

Jon Gruden refused to discuss the future of Cooper after their NFL UK loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. Instead, he wished him well in his recovery from a concussion he suffered during the game.
“I don’t know,” Gruden said of the trade report.
“I haven’t heard that. I’m just sorry to have to deal with a lot of these reports. I just hope Amari is OK. Like I said, he’s going to be a big part of our pass offense, and we’ll see what happens here. Hopefully he’s all right.”

This season, Cooper has tallied 280 yards and a touchdown on 22 catches. In four years in Oakland, he has struggled for consistency, casting doubt on his value to potential suitors.
Oakland’s loss to the Seahawks at Wembley Stadium, London, was a blowout. The Seattle Seahawks dominated them and ran out 27 – 3 winners.
It was the first game of the 2018 International Series at Wembley. Despite the game having to take place at Wembley instead of the delayed new Tottenham Hotspur stadium, it drew the largest crowd for an NFL game at Wembley. In total, 84,922 people attended.
