Packers Visit Seahawks to Open Week 11 on Thursday Night Football

Thursday Night Football opens Week 11 of the NFL regular season when the Green Bay Packers visit the Seattle Seahawks.  At home this season the Packers are 4-0-1 while away from Lambeau Field the Packers are a dismal 0-4.

Green Bay looks to end that run of losses on the road Thursday at CenturyLink Field against a Seattle team that during the next seven weeks will play five games at home.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is coming off a two-touchdown pass performance to Davante Adams in last week’s 31-12 victory over the Miami Dolphins. Adams has caught 31 touchdown passes since 2016 which ranked him in a tie for first in the NFL in that stat.

Rodgers, who has won the NFL MVP twice, has passed for 10 touchdowns with no interceptions over the past five weeks and has thrown seven passes for touchdowns and no interceptions over his past two games on Thursday.

Packers running back Aaron Jones has made a name for himself running up 306 yards on the ground with three TDs over the past three games, including 145 yards and two touchdowns against Miami last Sunday.

Seattle won four of five before losing two straight. Russell Wilson threw three TD passes in Sunday’s 36-31 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

At home, Wilson has thrown 13 TDs passes to one interception over the past six games. Seahawks running back Chris Carson and right guard D.J. Fluker should return from injury as should safety Bradley McDougal.

Carson’s replacement Rashaad Perry had 108 yards rushing with one touchdown in Sunday’s loss to the Rams. The Seahawks hope to use both Carson and Perry against a Green Bay defense that has allowed 123 yards rushing or more each of the past four games.

Seattle wide receiver Tyler Lockett has caught a touchdown pass in seven of the nine games thus far this season.

Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner has posted two straight 13-tackle games and over the last three games at home has a combined 29 tackles.

Aaron Rodgers seems to have a balanced offense of run and pass as the Packers running game shows signs of life with Aaron Jones. The Seahawks offense is starting to produce but its defense is far from what it once was. Take the Packers to win outright as road dogs 28-24
