Post Week 1 NFL Future Odds: Seahawks Fall, Packers Rise
Week 1 offered up a lot of surprises and the latest future odds ahead of the bulk of the Week 2 games (technically Week 2 started yesterday) the odds have been shaking up a bit.
The Green Bay Packers have moved up in the world while the Seattle Seahawks have fallen out of the top spot.
The Packers are now listed as +500 in the future odds which dethrones the Seahawks. The Packers got a big victory in Week 1 over the Chicago Bears 31-23, but it was Aaron Rodgers efficiency that moved them from +550 to +500. Rodgers completed 18 of his 23 pass attempts for 189 yards.
The Seahawks are now behind the New England Patriots who got bumped up the odds courtesy of Tom Brady’s overturned suspension and the team’s 28-21 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Pats are now +600 to win it all, which is the second best odds in the NFL.
The Seahawks have fallen to third after being on top of the odds all the way up to their overtime loss to the St. Louis Rams, 34-31. They have +750 odds to win the Super Bowl.
The Indianapolis Colts, who had previously been listed above the Pats in the odds, have now fallen from +850 to +1200 in the odds after losing to the Buffalo Bills in Week 1. Luck had a dismal performance only completing 26 passes out of 49 attempts. He also had an interception for every one of his two touchdowns.
The Philadelphia Eagles are tied with the Colts for fourth in the odds. Despite their good standings, the Eagles have fallen from +850 in the odds to +1200. The Eagles dropped their MNF game by two points causing the fall.
The Dallas Cowboys are still +1400, not moving up or down the list, after beating the New York Giants in Week 1, 27-26. Dez Bryant will be out for a month with a foot injury after that game, so their odds may take a turn in the coming days.
