Smith Absence Has Little To No Impact
As previously covered here, Geno Smith got his jaw broke in the locker room after a “sucker punch.” He will miss several weeks of football but his absence have had very little impact on the odds considering he is a starting QB.
The Jets win totals remained firm at 7.5 with the OVER being slightly adjusted from -130 to -120.
As far as their futures go, the Jets were already near the bottom of the barrell in terms of Super Bowl 50 odds, which is where they also remain now. Over at Bovada their odds are set at +6600.
Some may even argue that Smith being out is a blessing in disguise for the Jets, as Ryan Fitzpatrick has been leading the jets to their current 4-1 record.
The incident that sidelined Smith occurred in the locker room. Smith was “sucker punched” by a sixth-round draft pick and backup named IK Enemkpa.
