Sources: Grizzlies Send Conley to Jazz for Three Players and Picks

An NBA source has said that the Memphis Grizzlies traded Mike Conley to the Utah Jazz in exchange for Jae Crowder, Kyle Korver and Grayson Allen, as well as the 23rd overall pick in the draft on Thursday and a future first round pick.

Sources in the league said the future draft pick would be a 2020 protected first round pick the Grizzlies would receive from the Jazz. The deal cannot be completed until July 6 by NBA rules, as that is when the official 2019 season begins for the league.

Conley, who is 31, has played each of his 12 NBA seasons with the Grizzlies and this past season posted averages of 21.1 points, 6.5 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game.

The shooting guard ends his career with Memphis as the team’s leader in points scored with 11,733, in assists with 4,509, in 3-pointers made with 1,086 and in games played at 788.

Conley’s current contract runs until the completion of the 2020-21 season and has salaries for the 2019-20 season of $32.5 million and for 2020-21 of $34.5 million.

With Conley joining Utah, Ricky Rubio is likely no longer a part of the equation for the Jazz and will be playing for another team next season. Rubio posted averages of 12.7 points and 6.2 assists for Utah last season.
