Updated NFL Futures
The Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks remain the joint-favorites to win Super Bowl XLIX, according to online sportsbook Bovada.
The defending champion Seahawks have sat at the top of bookmakers’ NFL futures lists since lifting the Lombardi trophy back in February. With the team returning almost untouched, it’s not hard to see why the odds makers, and bettors alike, are liking the look of the NFC West powerhouse.
The Broncos opened the offseason in third place on the futures list, but have subsequently climbed to the top of the pack to sit alongside the Seahawks. Peyton Manning and Co. leads the AFC with 9/4 odds of winning the conference championship.
Both sides are currently assigned odds of 13/2 to win the championship.
The San Francisco 49ers sit in third place on the list with 15/2 odds of winning Super Bowl XLIX. The Niners had sat between the Seahawks and Broncos back in February, but have fallen off the pace ever so slightly.
The top five is rounded out by two perennial contenders: the New England Patriots (9/1) and Green Bay Packers (12/1).
At the other end of the spectrum, the Jacksonville Jaguars are once more expected to fail. The Florida side opened this season with odds of 100/1 to lift the Lombardi trophy. Those odds currently stand at 200/1.
Little is expected of the Oakland Raiders and Tennessee Titans either. The two sides currently have 100/1 odds.
Meanwhile, odds of the Buffalo Bills winning a championship remain at 75/1.
