Kentucky Wildcats team to beat heading into 2015 NCAA Tournament
The Kentucky Wildcats (1) are the team to beat heading into the 2015 NCAA Tournament on Thursday. John Calipari’s squad comes into the tourney with a flawless record of 34-0 and many believing they have what it takes to maintain their win streak moving forward.
With Hampton Pirates (16) coming out on top against Manhattan Jaspers on Tuesday, the Wildcats will face off against the Pirates on Thursday night in one of four games set to be played in the Midwest region. The consensus is Kentucky will make easy work of Hampton and then take on the winner between Cincinnati Bearcats (8) and Purdue Boilermakers (9) on Saturday.
As of right now, the majority of the prop bets revolve around the Wildcats and their quest for perfection. The moneyline for Kentucky right now stands at +110 to win the 2015 NCAA Tournament and -140 for the Wildcats to ultimately be knocked out of the tourney at some point.
Another prop bet for the Wildcats is Over/Under for the highest margin the team will trail by at any point in the tournament at 5 1/2, according to Bovada.
Needless to say, many anticipate Kentucky continuing to be the best team in college basketball. Although the pressure will be on throughout the entire tournament for Coach Calipari to lead the Wildcats back to the National Championship game on April 6, Kentucky has some pretty favorable odds to do so and may be the next team crowned champions when it is all said and done.
