Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell Still Contemplating Groin Surgery
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell finished the 2016 season with an injury and was even contemplating surgery. But according to the latest reports, surgery now seems unlikely.

Obviously, surgery is a big step. Even relatively minor surgery requires some rehab time. So, any athlete looking to have off-season surgery should do so as soon as possible.
If surgery is avoidable, though, it’s generally best to stay away. Complications could always arise and slow Bell’s progress down.
Bell’s injury has been a source of contention during the offseason, with the Steelers getting investigated for possibly keeping it under raps. But from all appearances, it was something that he dealt with for several weeks.
The expectation is now that Bell will be healthy for the off-season program. Though, there’s that whole franchise tag thing hanging over his head, a situation that’s likely to be resolved within the next two weeks.
