Warriors Look to Sweep Spurs and Move on to NBA Finals
On Monday, Game 4 of the NBA Western Conference Finals best of seven series tips off from AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas when the Golden State Warriors visit the San Antonio Spurs. Golden State leads the series 3-0.
The current line has Golden State favored by 12 points with the over/under point total on 216.5.
Golden State appears to be on its way to playing Cleveland in the NBA Finals for the third straight season. The Warriors can sweep San Antonio with a win on Monday and reach the Finals and increase their postseason record to 12-0 in the process.
San Antonio played much better in Game 3 at home than Game 2, but not having the injured Kawhi Leonard to help offset the scoring runs by Golden State led to the Spurs 120-108 loss.
Veteran guard Manu Ginobili scored 21 points for the Spurs and said he and his teammates must give it their all in Game 4.
Kevin Durant scored 19 of his team high 33 points during the third quarter for Golden State and has now hit 50% of his shots or more in 5 straight playoff games.
Durant is not the only player for Golden State scoring well as guard Stephen Curry has an average of 30 points per game and 55.5% shooting during the first three games against San Antonio.
Gregg Popovich the head coach for the Spurs told the media it was likely that Leonard would not play in Game 4. Popovich added that David Lee would likely miss Game 4 as well after partially tearing a patella tendon.
San Antonio already without veteran point guard Tony Parker will look to Ginobili, the 39-year old veteran, and Jonathan Simmons for more offense.
Popovich added that his players could not turn over the ball in Game 4 as much as they did during Game 3 or they would lose.
Golden State’s Zaza Pachulia did not play in Game 3 due to a heel injury and is listed as questionable for Game 4.
San Antonio power forward LaMarcus Aldridge is averaging just 13 points during his past two games.
Golden State is 10-1 against the spread in its past 11 games on the road.
San Antonio is 1-5 ATS in its past 6 games against Pacific division opponents.
