Zion Williamson is the favorite to win NBA Rookie of the Year next season
In the last several months, former Duke standout freshman Zion Williamson has quickly become one of the most popular young talents in the nation.
This has already built a tremendous amount of buzz toward his future in the NBA that has many believing he could be a transcendent player in that could quickly rise to stardom. This has also already enamored the bettors to roll with him being a huge favor to win the Rookie of the Year award next season being at -450, according to ESPN.

“Zion is a giant favorite, but I don’t know if it’s big enough. It’s one of those things if I take a max bet, then I might go [much higher],” Caesars head of risk Jeff Davis told ESPN while explaining his mindset for bookmaking in such an unsettled market. “If they’re willing to put up that much and let it sit for a whole year, then the price is bad. That’s the value of having sharper guests, if you’re smart enough to know what to do with it.”
Williamson exploded onto the scene during his lone collegiate season at Duke where his explosive athleticism has brought much praise and excitement in his direction. He is already penciled in to be the top selection for the New Orleans Pelicans, who beat the odds to land the top overall pick in this year’s draft.

Zion Williamson will have ample opportunities to prove that he’s the real deal with an extended role as a key factor for the Pelicans. It will be on him to showcase that he can follow through on that promise that has been laid before him before he has even played in his first NBA game.
