Giannis Antetokounmpo Favored for 2020 MVP
Giannis Antetokounmpo is the oddsmakers’ frontrunner to win the MVP award for the second time in a row next season.Â
The Milwaukee Bucks star won the NBA MVP award following a personal best season. He propelled the Bucks forward, even if they did fall short in the playoffs.Â
Giannis Antetokounmpo would then be the third player since 2006 to win consecutive MVP awards. The last three players to do so were Steve Nash, LeBron James and Stephen Curry.Â
Giannis Antetokounmpo is + 300 with Oddshark.com to win the MVP award in 2019. The 24 year old led the Bucks to a 60 – 22 record last season. Additionally, he earned All-Defensive and All-NBA First Team honours.

On his way to the accolades, Giannis averaged 27.7 points and 12.5 rebounds per game. Both were career highs for the 24 year old.Â
The Bucks only fell to the eventual champions, the Toronto Raptors, in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Just behind Giannis in the MVP Odds are Stephen Curry (+ 500), and James Harden ( + 700). As well as that, Giannis is most of the reason why Milwaukee is + 500 to win the NBA finals next season.
He will be motivated as hell to get that second consecutive MVP award. Earlier in the week, he spoke about being the MVP, and said that he still has room to improve.Â

“A lot of people say, ‘You are the MVP, you are one of the best players in the league, you are so dominant,’†Giannis told ESPN.Â
“But I think I can get better. I think I am at 60 percent of my potential, as good as I can be. I just want to be better. If I am in the same situation again [in the East finals], react better, play the game better, play better, execute better.â€
