Browns’ Myles Garrett suspended indefinitely for helmet attack
A day after Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett ripped the helmet off then struck Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph and chaos followed, the NFL handed out heavy discipline to everyone involved.
In a statement, the league announced Myles Garrett is suspended indefinitely without pay. He will miss the remainder of the 2019 season, at minimum, and must meet with the commissioner’s office prior to a decision on his reinstatement is made. He is also facing a substantial fine.
Steelers, Browns organizations each fined $250,000.

The NFL also suspended Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey three games without pay, in addition to an undisclosed fine, for punching and kicking Garrett.
Browns defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi received a one-game suspension from the NFL for shoving an opposing player to the ground during the fight.
The NFL also fined the Browns and Steelers organizations $250,000 each and announced that further discipline could come for additional players, including those who left the bench, once the league conducts its accountability process.
