Ryan Leaf arrested for domestic battery
Ryan Leaf was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery on Friday afternoon in Palm Desert, California, according to multiple reports.
He was released Friday evening on $5,000 bail. His next court date is Sept. 25, according Yahoo.

Long cited as a cautionary tale of NFL draft busts after his NFL career ended within four seasons and struggling with substance abuse. In 2012 he was arrested for breaking into a Montana home to steal prescription drugs.
Leaf was violating a Texas probation order. He went on to spend two years in prison.

Ryan Leaf began working for ESPN as a college football analyst last year.
