Roethlisberger keeps waiting for the injury to flare up while he’s throwing passes to his teammates, but he remains pain-free for the time being, via Terez Paylor of Yahoo Sports.

“I keep waiting for that day, or the next day after a practice, where I’m like, ‘Oh, there’s that pain I’m used to or there’s that discomfort,’” Roethlisberger said. “When there’s something you’ve been dealing [with] for a long time, you get used to it.”

Whether Roethlisberger can remain injury and pain-free during the 2020 campaign remains to be seen. However the fact he hasn’t had any setbacks thus far is a promising sign for Pittsburgh. The Steelers could be a threat in the AFC once again if the future Hall of Famer stays on course. He will have to resume producing at a high level once the season gets underway next month.
