Knicks willing to trade RJ Barrett ‘for a star guard’
The New York Knicks are a team on the rise in the NBA after ending their playoff drought this year. As well as that, a legitimate star emerges in the form of forward Julius Randle.

Things are trending in the right direction. Although the storied NBA franchise doesn’t want this opportunity to go to waste. They seem intent on pairing Randle with another star. However, that will likely mean they have to trade RJ Barrett, and the team seems willing to do just that, according to Kristian Winfield of New York Daily News.
The source told the Daily News that the Knicks are interested in packaging rising star RJ Barrett in a deal for a star guard, like Portland’s Damian Lillard or Washington’s Bradley Beal. If both the Trail Blazers and Wizards are uninterested in a deal, the source says the Knicks are also monitoring Cleveland’s Collin Sexton, Oklahoma City’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Charlotte’s Terry Rozier as younger guards the franchise can fold into its plans for the future.

Unlike over the past decade or so, the Knicks are now an attractive destination once again. They may draw some talent to New York to improve the team’s efforts of competing in the Eastern Conference.. The most likely way to improve the roster appears to be through a trade. However, only time will tell what will happen over the course of what will almost uncertainly be a crazy offseason around the league.
