Knicks may be keeping tabs on Bulls star Zach LaVine
The Chicago Bulls look far from the promising team that took the league by storm for much of last season.
The Bulls’ fall has led to chatter building around the franchise that the roster could become a fire sale if things stay in a downward direction. All-Star guard Zach LaVine has become mentioned as a potential trade target, but those talks have quickly dispersed as longtime NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski shot down that notion.

“The Knicks will be watching Chicago. Is Zach LaVine a player who before the deadline possibly can become available? He certainly isn’t now?” Wojnarowski said via Pro Basketball Talk.
The Bulls may be off to a discouraging start, holding a 10-14 record through the first 24 games, but there remains much of the season ahead to turn it around. LaVine is in the first year of his five-year, $215 million deal, which he could become available to trade after Dec. 15 when players signed last offseason are able to be moved.
Meanwhile, it appears like other pieces of the puzzle may be on the table instead. There is building talk around players like Nikola Vucevic, DeMar DeRozan, and Lonzo Ball.

The Los Angeles Lakers may be a team that attempts to swoop into the discussion, especially after their recent uptick in play in the last couple of weeks. The Lakers may be eyeing DeRozan as the piece to help push them into playoff contention and much further than that.
Time will only tell what lies ahead of the Bulls’ future.
