Teams are trying to trade for Steelers star T.J. Watt
The Pittsburgh Steelers made a trade this week to acquire veteran cornerback Jalen Ramsey and tight end Jonnu Smith in exchange for Minkah Fitzpatrick, who was sent to the Miami Dolphins.
Apparently, that might not be the last substantial trade the storied franchise will make during this NFL offseason, as T.J. Watt could be on the move. Multiple teams have been showing interest in trading for the superstar pass rusher, according to ESPN.
In recent weeks, multiple teams have been discussing whether they can trade for Pittsburgh Steelers standout pass rusher T.J. Watt, who skipped the team’s most recent minicamp, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
This is an interesting development, as Watt is arguably the current face of the franchise and easily its best player. However, if a new deal can’t get done to his liking, there’s a chance he’ll be on the move.

Pittsburgh hasn’t shown any desire to trade Watt, via ESPN.
The Steelers haven’t shown any willingness to deal Watt so far, but he’s unhappy with his contractual situation and sources believe outside team interest is likely to increase given Monday’s trade that sent cornerback Jalen Ramsey and tight end Jonnu Smith from the Miami Dolphins to Pittsburgh in exchange for safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.
The Steelers have been adamant they want Watt to finish his career in Pittsburgh.
It’ll be interesting to see what direction the Steelers go in from here on out and whether Watt has played his last game in black and yellow.
