Ravens get crucial update on superstar QB Lamar Jackson

The Baltimore Ravens got a concerning injury scare this week, with superstar quarterback and three-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson going down with a foot injury during the team’s practice on Wednesday.

The Ravens are a top-tier team in the league due to the play and dominance of Jackson, so an injury to the veteran gunslinger would be a devastating blow for Baltimore ahead of the start of the 2025 campaign.

According to Jamison Hensley of ESPN, Jackson was able to avoid getting seriously injured.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson avoided serious injury after getting his foot stepped on during Wednesday’s practice, coach John Harbaugh said.

X-rays on Jackson’s injured foot revealed no damage, according to Harbaugh.

“He’s fine,” Harbaugh said after Thursday’s practice. “He’s going to be good.”

The outlook of the 2025 NFL season would look pretty bleak had Jackson gone down with an injury that would require months to recover from. The two-time NFL MVP is playing the best football of his career and is, without a doubt, the reason for the team’s recent success over the past few years.

“I told the guys, ‘Prayers do get answered,'” Harbaugh said. “I was praying.”

Jackson didn’t practice Thursday, which marked the first time he was sidelined by injury this summer.

“I’m sure it’s a little sore,” Harbaugh said.

However, there’s no telling whether this could be an injury that lingers throughout the regular season. It remains to be seen if that’s the case or if this was truly an injury scare.
