Huge Day in Store For NFC East Teams
Three of the four teams in the NFC East are within one game of the lead. The New York Giants lead by one game over the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Redskins. The Cowboys are dealing with a tragedy, much like the Kansas City Chiefs dealt with a week ago. Dallas nose tackle Joshua Brent was charged with vehicular manslaughter when he was involved in a DUI accident that killed teammate Jerry Brown. Last week the Chiefs were able to come together to play and win a game the day after the murder-suicide of a teammate. The Cowboys will need to do the same, with a lot more at stake.
The Cowboys have a tough road game today at the Cincinnati Bengals, who are right in the thick of the AFC Playoff race. Both teams really need a win today. The Redskins host their neighbors, the 9-3 Baltimore Ravens. A Ravens loss and Bengals win could really tighten things up in the AFC North race as well as affect the NFC East race. The Ravens come into Washington 9-3 to face the 6-6 Redskins, yet are coming in an underdog.
The Giants will host the New Orleans Saints, who are coming in now with nothing to lose. That may make them a dangerous team here.
Oddsmaker has odds on the games.
